Question:
How do I correctly measure for a replacement roof fan? Do I have to take it out and measure the opening? I have a 6x12 Diamond cargo box trailer and want to install a powered fan 110V. Please advise.

Most square trailer roof vents are a common size, 14 x 14, and they require a roof opening of 14-1/4 x 14-1/4-inches. If your vent measures this approximate size then you can safely presume you have one of these standard-size roof vents.
We do offer a 110V-AC powered fan in this size that is shown on the linked page, part # V2128SP-01 from Ventline. This vent features a manual-lift lid, on/off switch, insect screen and it also includes an internal trim piece (the garnish) for a clean installed appearance. Please refer to the linked product review video.
You will also need an installation kit # 344270KITW. This includes sealant and hardware. I would also suggest using a silicone sealer after the vent is installed to further block entry of water, dirt, etc. We offer silicone sealer in several colors, such as # LT37467 (black), # LT37464 (grey) and # LT37466 (copper) but your local hardware store will also offer white and clear pure silicone rubber caulk that is perfect for making the install absolutely water-tight.
