Recommended Camera System for Monitoring Service Vehicle on iPhone

Question:

I am looking for this type of setup to monitor the rear of my service truck while sitting inside a restaurant for instance. What is the max transmission distance? Would you suggest another wifi device that sends to iphone?

The Swift Hitch Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor # 04928 referenced in your question can transmit up to 300 feet without obstructions. The camera and monitor feature a battery with a 4-hour maximum life when fully charged, which should be plenty of time while you are away from your truck during meals or other errands. This will work great for sending video to the included monitor, but it won't work with your iPhone.

For this type of application, I recommend taking a look at the Rampage Wireless Backup Camera # RA7710. This battery operated camera (4-hour max life) can sync with your iPhone (or Android device) with the free RamCam app. It also features a 300 foot transmission distance.
