Question:
Will this hitch fit properly on the step side version of the 1999 ranger?
asked by: Jim
Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12012 is confirmed to fit all models of the 1999 Ford Ranger. A stepside typically just changes the construction of the truck bed and not the frame itself which is where the trailer hitch would be mounted to.
Please note that all non-trailer loads (like a bike rack or cargo carrier) will require the use of a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 to stay within the warranty of Curt.
Let me know what you will be using the trailer hitch for and I can make additional recommendations as necessary.
