Question:
I will be using a #18140 Curt Cargo carrier with the #11132 hitch on a 2004 pt cruiser, how would you hook up stabilizing straps for this type of carrier and car? And what straps are recommended.

Expert Reply:
For CURT Class I and II trailer hitches, when you have a non-trailer load such as a bike rack or in this case a cargo carrier, you can use the stabilization strap, # 18050. One end you will loop around the near edge of your carrier. The other end has a hook that will fit at the top of the rear hatch in the space between the roof and the hatch on your 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser. The strap needs to be snug but be careful not to over tighten the strap.
