In order to install this Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 33925 on your 2006 Kia Sportage you will need remove the tail light wiring harness from the back of the tail lights of your vehicle and plug this unit inline with the tail light wiring harness.

Basically, you will unplug the harness from the back of the tail light, plug this unit into the wiring harness from your tail lights, and then plug this unit directly into your tail light assembly.
