Question:

Thank you very much for your help. So I have a RAM landing gear. For the Velocity series will I need the adapter still? I saw you also carry a RAM Electric motor. Will that work for my application. Thanks again. Oh, I was also looking at purchasing a BX1 GN coupler. Will that work for my trailer or is that specific to Bulldog as well.

For starters, the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit part # BD1824200100 for single speed or part # BD1824180100 for two speed is only designed to work with Bulldog landing gear legs that have a 12,000 lb support capacity. If you do not have these legs than I cannot confirm the conversion kit will work for you.

If you do have the above legs then there would be no reason to purchase a new system assuming the old one is in working order. You will have a fresh set of gears and wired remote if you replaced the whole system but the installation will be much more involved and the cost will be much higher assuming you replaced both jacks. You will also need part # BD500389 if your trailer has an aluminum frame.

Thanks for the photo! After looking at the way your landing gears legs are mounted, you are going to need to make some modifications to make anything we offer work including the Bulldog Velocity Series Electric Landing Gear Jack part # BD185400. The Adapter Kit for Bulldog Velocity Series Electric Landing Gear Jack part # BD500389 will only be a requirement if you have an aluminum frame trailer. However, if you weld this bracket to the uprights on your trailer that your existing landing gear legs attach to, this will properly be a better solution for you. The 12-Volt Motor Kit for Ram Landing Gear part # LC142178 is designed to be compatible with the Landing Gear Set part # RVLG-8000. In order to use this set you are going to need to weld the Replacement Weld-On Mounting Brackets part # LG-BRACKETS onto your trailer frame.
