Recommended Tires for 24 foot 1984 Galaxy Starcraft Popup Camper Trailer

Question:

I own a 1984 24foot Galaxy Starcraft popup camper trailer. Its in good condition, but Im looking at replacing the tires show signs of cracking and tire rims. Since I cant read the size of the tires that are currently on the trailer, Im not sure of the load size I should use. The trailer specs call for a 13inch load Cinch tire. The spec sheet also gives me these weights: Axle wt. 1460 Hitch wt. dry. 144 Cargo load capacity 896 Total dry wt. 1604 Ive been looking at a 13inch load C tire - Contender ST175/80R13 white spoke wheel 5 on 41/2 load C code AC13R45WS. or should I go to a 13inch load Dinch tire such as Karrier ST180/R13 white wheel 5 on 41/2 load D code AM31985 to accommodate the above specs. Thank you for all the information! Based on that I can tell you that your 1984 Galaxy Starcraft Popup has a GVWR of 2,500 lbs, and the best tires would be ones that have a capacity which is more than that.

I recommend going with the Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" White Wheel # AM31985 due to its slightly higher 1,610 lbs load capacity at 65 psi.

The only other thing you need to make sure of is that your wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern; if you are uncertain of your bolt pattern you can take a look at the help article I've provided which details how to find your pattern.
