Can 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4WD be Towed on Tow Dolly
Updated 05/22/2018 | Published 05/21/2018 >
Question:
Hello, I have a 1996 Tacoma 4WD that I want to tow behind my motor home. I know I will have to disconnect the rear driveshaft. If I do that, can I use Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes RM-2050-1 for this application. I already have the trailer brake module and hitch in the motor home so I think it would be pretty plug and play? Thanks,

I did some checking and if your 1996 Toyota Tacoma has a manual transmission you wouldn't need a driveshaft disconnect to tow it on a tow dolly like the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1 but if you have an automatic transmission you will need one.
Your current brake controller will work great with this as well.
