Can 50 Amp Surge Protector be Used with 30 Amp Power Source

My converted cargo trailer/camper has 50 amp power, my question if i purchase the 50 amp surge protector and i go to a campground with only 30 amp service will the 50 amp surge protector still be as efective?

A 50 amp surge protector like Camco RV Analyzer 50 amp # CAM55306 won't do anything unless you exceed the 50 amp rating of the product. If you need surge protection for 30 amp it won't stop a surge relative to a 30 amp setup. It basically would let anything through till it exceeds 50 amps.
