7-Way Extension To Avoid Connection Ripping Out Of Socket

Question:
I recently purchase a lightly used 16 Land Cruiser. It has the connector for my trailer wiring mounted under the bumper but far to the right back corner of the vehicle, presumably due to the spare tires location close to the hitch. When I plug in my tandem axle trailers plug which is need for lights and the brakes it has to reach far to the right corner of the car - and when I turn left it rips out of the socket. The connector needs to be move closer to the hitch. Is there an extender of some sort that I could plug into the existing connector and then mount near the hitch so I can plug the trailer directly into it keeping it near the center line of the vehicle?

The Curt Universal 7-Way Extension # C56080 will give you an additional 7 feet of extension to ensure your connection will not rip out of the socket. Extension plugs into your existing 7-way, RV-style connector to route functionality from the rear of your vehicle to your trailer.
