Can Roof Rack Wind Fairings Withstand Automated Car Washes

Question:

Hello, Im thinking about purchasing a roof rack fairing for my wifes 2015 Honda CRV. Are fairings durable enough to withstand a car wash? Thanks

Truthfully no roof rack fairing is meant to withstand the environment of an automated carwash. One may hold up to an occasional trip through one but this exposure presents a degree of mechanical stress that is outside what fairing makers will consider normal use.

If the wife likes to keep her car clean with a weekly trip to the automated carwash then I do not recommend installing a fairing. Regularly hand-washing a fairing like # INA261 is perfectly fine.
