It sounds like you are doing a great job caring for your Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR. There are not any specific maintenance or care requirements for the bike rack, but Kuat does recommend periodically checking the bolts and screws to ensure they are still tight. This is a great idea especially at the beginning and end of each season.
You can also check the components of the rack, such as the ratcheting hooks and cradles, when you check the bolts and screws. These components can wear out or crack naturally over time with use and exposure to the elements. To help preserve your bike rack, if you don't use it frequently, it is a good idea to remove it from your vehicle when not in use.
