Thank you for the information. Could you suggest what brake controller you would recommend for this application?

We haven't had the chance to install a brake controller on a 2017 Chevy 4500 Cutaway but it's very likely to be the same. The first difference I would be careful of though is the wiring coloring. Before assuming the wire color is all the same use a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to test each wire you find for function. Vehicle manufacturers aren't very consistent on wire colors, especially from year to year.
If you need other components, like a trailer hitch or 7-way connector on your RV, let me know.
