Tap Size For Clearing Threads for Installing Hitch on 2015 Honda Odyssey

Can you tell me what the correct tap size would be to clear the threads on my 2015 Odyssey?

The bolts that come with the Draw Tite hitch part # 36417 are size M12 X 1.25 X 35mm CL8.8 Bolt. The size thread tap you'd need is M12x1.25mm.

I am trying to install a hitch on my 2013 odyssey. The threads seem rusted and I can not start the bolt into the welded nut. Any suggestions?

We actually have a full article (linked below) dedicated to cleaning out those pesky weld nuts. You'll basically just want to spray them generously with some lubricant and try your best to knock away rust and corrosion with a wire brush. You may need to repeat this process a few times depending on how caked they are.
