How Good is the Waterproofing on Replacement Wiring Harness # 118267 for a 2010 Nissan Frontier

Question:

The oem 7 pin has some good gaskets for waterproofing/water resistance. Does this 7 pin come with a good gasket for the lid as well as having the back end where the plug snaps in water tight? Thanks,

Replacement Wiring Harness # 118267 for your 2010 Nissan Frontier doesn't really have a gasket at the 7-Way lid. And for something to be considered waterproof it has to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and not let in any water. No trailer connector can make that claim! What I recommend to safeguard against corrosion from moisture is to use dielectric grease # LT37534 anywhere you have electrical connections.

The other option is to use a factory replacement from a Nissan dealer.
