Would Curt Hitch # C15860 Fit 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and Increase Towing Capacity

Have a 2011 Silverado 3500hd 6.6 diesel SRW im interested in buying this part #C15860 just to be extra safety with my 14k dump trailer. By doing this, will increase the GTWR of my truck “legally”????

There really isn't a way to safely increase the towing capacity of a vehicle as it's more than just the hitch of the vehicle's weight rating. The Curt hitch part # C15860 is a fit for your 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and has pretty high towing capacity of 20,000 lbs so it would handle the weight of a 14k trailer.
If your truck has a 14k capacity based on how it is equipped it would work well for you.
