Which Part of the Crossbar of the Malone AirFlow # MPG216 Faces Forward

Question:
I just received Malone Roof rack, part # MPG216, and have a few questions about installation. Should the thinnest part of the rack face the front or the rear of the vehicle to minimize wind noise? Also, the rubber s for the bottom of the rack are very difficult to get into the slot. Any suggestions on how to more easily get them in?

The "fatter" end of the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG216 that you referenced faces the front of the vehicle. Rubber can be difficult if it's cold. I'd let it fold out flat for a while so that any folds and creases will be worked out.
