In order to flat tow your 2010 Hyundai Accent behind your motorhome, you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, and a supplemental braking system. I do recommend also taking a look at your owners manual for the vehicle to check on any restrictions or guidelines for towing with all four wheels on the ground.
Starting with the base plate kit, I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2323 as long as your vehicle does not have foglights. This custom-fit base plate kit features hidden reinforcements, along with removable bracket arms to provide a clean and unobtrusive look when you aren't towing.
Then, for a compatible tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380. This non-binding tow bar has a swivel function to make for easy connections and safety cables are included so they do not need to be obtained separately. It has a towing capacity of 6,500 pounds.
For tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will let you wire your Accent to accept the RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights for flat towing. You will mount the included 6-Way to the front of your vehicle and use the coiled wiring to go from there to the 7-Way on the motorhome.
Then, for a supplemental braking system, I really like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. This is an excellent, proportional system that will physically press down on the brake pedal in your Hyundai Accent at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to it in your motorhome.
Finally, you will likely also need a high-low adapter in order to keep the tow bar level. I have attached an article that explains exactly how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a great FAQ on flat towing that you might find helpful.
