Will an RV Ladder Experience More Stress when Using Ladder Mount Bike Rack LA-102
Updated 04/23/2018 | Published 04/19/2018 >
Question:
Do the above racks with 2 bikes cause undue stress and weight to the ladder and the mounting brackets on the coach. I have a 2008 Itasca Latitude 39W motorhome. Your site is the best and very helpful. Always search you put first.

Helpful Expert Reply:
A ladder and/or the mounts would experience greater than normal stress when using a ladder mount bike rack such as # LA-102. However it isn't anything the ladder or mounts can't handle. The ladders and mounts are designed to support a person and that weight would exceed the weight of a loaded rack even when you consider additional load periodically applied to the ladder when driving.
