I do have an option for you but the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness part # 118242 is not a confirmed fit for your 1996 Ford F-250. The best option for you will depend on if your truck came with a factory 4-way trailer connector or not.
If your truck did come with a factory 4-way trailer connector then you are going to want to use part # ETBC7. If your truck did not come with a factory 4-way trailer connector then you are going to want to use both part # 118316 and part # ETBC7.
These are currently the only options we have for you to add a 7-way trailer connector to your F250. They will require splicing but this is the only option as your truck did not come with a plug-in adapter.
