Tips for Installing EX1033 Hinge on Extang Trifecta Tonneau
Updated 04/20/2018 | Published 04/18/2018 >
Question:
Is there a technique to installing the hinge? I was able to get the old hinge out with a screwdriver but getting the replacement hinge in the groove of the cover is extremely difficult. I must be doing something wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I emailed Extang for tips on installing the hinge part # EX1033 and this is what they sent back:
"The hinges should just slide into the rails of the cover. It is easier when the cover is folded open and you are putting both sides of the hinge in at once.
Please let me know if you need anything further."
