Will the DeeZee Red Label Toolbox # DZ8560WB Fit a 2006 Chevy Silverado 3500 with 1" Rail Lip

Question:

I’m looking at DeeZee Red Label 5th Wheel Toolbox - Wide, Utility Chest Style - Aluminum - 14.9 Cu Ft - Black Item # DZ8560WB. I have a 2006 Chev Silverado 3500. The front end of the bed where the box would sit has a 1” lip. Will this box fit up against the end wall under the lip and still give enough room with the boxes offset for the lid to raise? If you look at the picture that I linked of the DeeZee Red Label 5th Wheel Toolbox # DZ8560WB you can see that there is an indent at the back of the top. I spoke with my contact at DeeZee who said that it measures about 1" down and 1" in.

The overall dimensions of the toolbox are 60" long x 24" wide x 18-1/8" tall which means that at the back (where it sits against the cab side of your bed) the width will be 23" and the height will be 17-1/8". My contact said that you should have no problem fitting this toolbox in your 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 but you can use these dimensions to help you determine fit.
