Ladder Rack Compatibility with BakFlip Tonneau Cover on 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD

For a ladder rack that will fit with your BAKFlip tonneau cover, I recommend the Adarac Pro # A4001016 for a 6-1/2 foot bed. This is a fixed rack that will work with a folding tonneau cover without any interference. Unfortunately there is not currently one available as a fit for an 8 foot bed on your model year truck.

For an 8 foot bed, there is the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-000 that will work. The # TH43002XT-501 will work for a 6-1/2 foot bed. This fit has been confirmed by customers, but the only confirmed tonneau cover to fit with this TracRac from either manufacturer is the BAK Revolver.

Customers have said the BAKFlip tonneau works with this rack but you do need to maneuver the sliding uprights to fold the cover due to the angle of the support. The rails inside the bed do allow for the installation of the rack in the stake pockets and the sliding rails on top of the truck bed rails.

The big issue is moving the tonneau cover with the rack loaded, so that is why they don't confirm the fit.
