Yakima Kayak Carrier Recommendation to fit Aero Shaped Crossbars

Question:

I have a set of 4 Yakama Jinch style kayak racks 18 yrs. old that used to attach to a round bar. I now have an Outback with aero dynamic crossbars. Is there and adaptor to fit my new crossbars ? Thanks,

Yakima doesn't have any adapters for any of their racks that were made 18 years ago to fit them onto elliptical shaped crossbars like what you have.

Best option would be to go with a new J-style carrier that fits the bar shape. For that we have the Yakima carrier # Y04073 which would work well.
