Troubleshooting Trailer Lighting that Doesnt Work on Right Hand Side
Updated 03/27/2018 | Published 03/26/2018 >
Question:
I have lights on left side of trailer but not on right. I checked with my voltage meter and have power to the copper connection. I even switched bulbs but still no lunch. What is the best way to check to make sure the power is enough voltage.

Expert Reply:
Since you have voltage to that side of the trailer but the lights aren't working what you'd want to do is try improving the ground for that light assembly as it sounds like there is an insufficient ground preventing the light from working.
Check to make sure there isn't any corrosion or cut/exposed wire anywhere and fix as needed. You can also run a jumper wire back from the assembly ground to the ground of the trailer connector.
