How Much Length Does Kuat Transfer Add to Rear of Vehicle When Folded Up
Updated 03/20/2018 | Published 03/17/2018 >
Question:
One more question please. When the Kuat Transfer is folded up against the car, how much space does it require, hitch pin to farthest point on rack? My garage space is really tight and I’m hoping to be able to leave the rack installed during bike season. I appreciate your help

Expert Reply:
When the Kuat Transfer bike rack part # KU74FR is installed in a hitch it adds a total of 17 inches from the center of the hitch pin out to the furthest point out of the rack when folded up. So you'd need to measure the available space you have behind your vehicle from the hitch pin and if you have more than 17 inches this rack will fit folded up in your garage.
