Question:
Looking to find out if I can mount a winch to the 2inch reciever on this unit for a car trailer? Not vehicle recovery. They make a 2inch reciever mount for a winch that I thought to slide in and out for temporary use. Would you recommend a winch mounted to this 2inch reciever?

Expert Reply:
Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 was meant for accessories such as bike racks or cargo carriers. The force of a line pull from a winch may be too much for the receiver portion of the D210. What I recommend is to make a mount using a combo bar such as # E-11. Weld this guy in place as much as possible on the trailer. The more contact with the mounting surface the better.
