Question:
I just installed the Tekona P3 and wiring harness 3015 in my 2004 Avalanche, which has the trailer package from the factory. Do I need a charging circuit to keep my trailer battery charging when the Avalanche is attached? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
Once you connect a couple of wires under the hood of your 2004 Chevy Avalanche the 7-way of your vehicle will have an auxiliary 12 volt power source that you could use to charge the battery of your trailer.
I attached an FAQ article on how to connect those wires under your hood for you to check out also.
