Does a Bike Rack on the Back of a Toad Vehicle Need to Be RV Approved

Can this rack be used on the tow vehicle Suburban behind a class A RV

In regards to Thule bike racks, a hitch mounted bike rack on the rear of the towed vehicle will need to be RV approved in order to abide by their warranty. The Thule T2 part # TH69JV is approved for Motorhomes, but not Fifth Wheels or Travel Trailers, or towed vehicles.
You could consider going with an RV approved bike rack like the Swagman E-Spec part # S94FR which similar to the Thule T2 platform style, except it is frame mounted, and 2 bike carrier. This rack can be used on the back of a toad vehicle without worry. The rack can carry bikes up to 70 lbs each and comes with a threaded hitch pin lock for both security and support.
