Wiring Third Brake Light on Camper Shell in 2010 GMC Sierra
Published 03/02/2018 >
Question:
Good day We are working on a 2010 GMC Sierra with a camper shell, it has the factory trailer package 7 pin connector. Do you sell an adaptor for correct operation or the third bake lamp in the camper shell? I believe the camper light will stay partially illuminated wired one way, or flash with the turn signals the connected another way. Thank you

Good day. What you were describing is a combined wiring system, which is what your 2010 GMC Sierra has. What you can do to get the third brake light only signal is look under the dash to the left of your steering column and find the tow package wiring which will often be held together with white tape. Using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 find the brake light only signal and you can run wire from there.
