Recommended Electric Trailer Jack Compatible with Coachmen Clipper 17BHS Coupler
Published 03/01/2018 >
Question:
According to the specifications, the JET-3555 has an Outer tube diameter of 2-3/16inch and an Inner tube diameter of 1-15/16. My trailer is a Coachmen Clipper 17BHS. The existing manual tongue jack has an outer tube diameter of 2. How can I make the the JET-3555 tube fit in this smaller opening? Or is there a Strornberg electric jack with a 2inch outer tube diameter?

Expert Reply:
The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3555 has the larger outer tube diameter as you mentioned. I recommend using a rotary tool like a Dremal to enlarge that hole.
Another great option is the Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack- 22" Lift - 4,000 lbs # BD500199. This has an outer diameter of 2-1/4 inches which is even slightly larger and this is actually the more standard measurement for most jacks. You will need the rotary tool to enlarge the hole for this one as well.
