What is the towing capacity for a 2002 chevy 1500 ext cab 4x4. It has a 5.3 automatic with a 3.73 rear end.

Your 2002 Chevy 1500 Extended Cab has a towing capacity of 9,000 lbs for conventional or 5th wheel towing.
If you want a trailer hitch receiver capable of that towing capacity, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class IV - 2" # C14332. For 5th wheel rails, I recommend the custom bracket rail kit # RP50064-58.
