Question:
I have two criterium racks that I need to replace the straps, brackets, and buttons. Are the new replacement straps a substitute for all these parts or just the button and strap? How do they attach? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
All of the replacement parts for the Thule Criterium Roof Bike Rack you have mentioned are sold individually.
The Thule Replacement Ratcheting Wheel Strap, part # 853-6512, will be the replacement strap for the Thule Criterium bike rack. It is not a replacement for the button and strap. You will still need to use the button with this strap.
The Thule Replacement Wheel Strap Button, part # 7522300001, will be the button that will tighten and loosen the ratcheting strap on the wheel holder.
The ratcheting strap and the button will snap onto the wheel holder and the wheel holder will slide on the wheel tray of the bike rack.
I am including a link to a video review on the Thule Criterium bike rack.
