Question:
Hello, Im looking for a 1 1/4inch hitch for a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid van, and it looks like this is the one that will fit: C12180 However, it says something about using stabilizing straps if it will be used to support a bike rack. That is the only reason I need the hitch, so Im wondering what else I need if its not able to support a bike rack on its own. Thanks

What you can do is use Curt trailer hitch # C13383, which does not require a stabilization strap, with a reducer sleeve, # HT02, to use 1-1/4 inch accessories. The use of this reducer sleeve will not reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch like other adapters will. This set up will allow you to use the hitch for a bike rack on your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid without needed the stabilization strap.
