Will the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit, # D15960 Fit a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:
Vehicle 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 SRW Cummins and 68rfe 6 speed auto. Towing 12,000 lb 5th wheel. I have never had trans temp above 180 pulling pretty steep grades until New Priest Grade on 120 to Yosemite. Problem is temp hit 220 and this is a 25 mph max 5 mile winding climb with 100 ambient temp.

You would benefit from installing the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit, # D15960, on your 2008 Dodge Ram 3500. The cooler has an in line thermostat that kicks the fan on when the transmission fluid reaches 180 degrees. Because this cooler has its own fan, it can be mounted anywhere there is space without losing efficiency.
Take a look at the dimensions near the end of the product page for the dimensions so you can find the best spot on the truck ahead of time. The fan will need to be wired to a 12 volt ignition source for power. I have included a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers.
