I have an 07 1500 chevy 5.3 with edge chip im having afm problems does the chip disable it automatically?

The Edge programmers like what you have in your 2007 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 liter V8 can disable the AFM (active fuel management). If you are having troubles with the AFM though it's most likely not the programmer. You could try setting the programmer back to stock to see if the problem persists. If so, then you know it's not the programmer.
The AFM in the GM trucks notoriously is problematic for people so it's most likely not the programmer.
