Brake Controller Output Pin Location on Trailer Side 6-Way Connector

Question:

Is the brake pin in the center or on the side on the 6 way?

Typically the Brake Controller Output pin will be the 1 o'clock pin for a trailer side 6-Way connector (see attached picture).

This isn't always the case though so you will want to double check before assuming that is the case for using the Mighty Cord 7-Blade to 6-Pole Connector Adapter # 47549.

You can verify the functions by grounding the negative terminal of the battery from your tow vehicle and then using the positive terminal to test the various pins on the 6-Way. You will want to be sure to note which pin performs which function and compare it to the attached diagram.
