Question:

I would like to use a “Dual” receiver to accommodate a platform bicycle rack while towing a small utility trailer motorcycle. What length of extended can I use without compromising safety?

Expert Reply:

All of our dual receiver adapters like part # D-192 will reduce the vehicle's hitch capacity by 50%. As long as 50% of the vehicle's towing capacity in inline with your trailer and bike rack then this adapter will work well for you. However, a better option for you that will not reduce the vehicle's towing capacity would be to use multipurpose ball mount like part # D210.
