Factory Brake Wiring Harness Location on 2012 Chevy Silverado
Published 02/01/2018 >
Question:
I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado LTZ 4x4. I have purchased the Technosho Prodigy P2 brake controller. I have looked and looked under the dash, to the left of the Brake pedal and can NOT find the wires suggested to complete the brake controller install. Can you help me with where these wires could be. I tow a trailer and use the tow lights and the 7way light plug works great, I just can’t find the wires I need.

When installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885, we need go back under the dash to find the factory wiring on your truck. Now it's located behind the dash underneath the steering wheel just a little towards the left and a little bit left of the brake pedal. It's pretty far up in there so it'll take a while to find. After you find it, take the wires and gently pull them down. I have a video attached that does a great job of locating the wires on your vehicle.
