Should Springs Bars of Blue Ox Weight Distribution System BXW2000 Be Flexed When installed
Published 01/30/2018 >
Question:
Good morning, I am interested in getting the bxw2000 weight distribution set up for my over weight trailer. Every pic or illustration I see makes the bars look like they are suffering bending too much are they actually able to take on 2000lbs of tongue weight or is a heavier duty option available that isn’t going to rob the bank? Thank you!

Helpful Expert Reply:
The tongue weight range for the Blue Ox weight distribution system part # BXW2000 is 1,500 to 2,000 lbs. If your tongue weight falls in that range this system will work great. The bars are designed to have a bit of bend in them when they are set up properly. This indicates that they are working to apply some of the trailer tongue weight up to the front axle of the tow vehicle. Seeing them flex is not an issue at all.
