The Camco Power Grip Generator Adapter for RV Power Cord # CAM55422 referenced in your question is designed to plug into a 30-amp twist-lock generator receptacle. The female end of the adapter will connect to your RV's 50-amp power plug.
In order to connect to your RV's 50-amp inlet to allow for a 30-amp extension cord, I instead recommend looking at the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter # A10-3050DBK. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
