Today we're going to be taking a look at the Power Grip Generator Adapter for for our RV power cords. This is for the 30 amp 4-prong style. Then you're able to plug in at 50 amp RV-style connector. The part number is CAM55382. This is a 25 volt adapter cord. It will plug in, as we said, standard 50 amp can plug right into here. Then we can run this right into our 4-prong style connector.
This is a L-14-50 style receptacle. It's made to go right into our generator and then twist with the two small tabs there giving us the leverage we need. That really helps to hold it into place. It's going to prevent this from vibrating loose while our generator is running and powering it. As you can see, we've got bright yellow ends there. It's going to be easy to see in low light.
We've got a built-in handle here on the female connector. That's going to make plugging and unplugging pretty effortless. Now that we've seen what it is and how it works, that will complete today's look at the Camco RV products Power Grip RV Generator Adapter, part number CAM55382. .

Generator died and I quickly found out generator repair people are rarer than Amish electricians. Bought a 7k generator and was arranging to pay an electrician to wire it in to rv when I discoveees this incredible connection. It twists in to 120/240 outlet on generator and accepts 4 prong rv cord. GREAT!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Turned on both ac's for first time since I owned rv, (over 10 yrs). Within mins rv was cool and I have enough power for another rv. This thing is great. I highly recommend to anyone with an rv with a small generator or generator in need of repair, go buy a 7k running amp generator and this plug and you're set with plenty of electrical power. Also, the quality and durability of this part is suprisingly amazing. You can easily run over this plug with your rv and not phase it. BUY ONE. This will be the best rv purchase you can make. The adaptor was exactly as described. It is very well made and is perfect to plug into our RV generator. We will be using the adaptor for our next camping trip.

Just received the adapter and haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I've wanted one of these for a long time now as the 50 amp plug sticks straight out from the receptacle. Always thought this was a dumb design as it puts a lot of stress on the plug and cord. The prices are starting to look more attractive so I decided to bite the bullet and get one.
This extension has been a game saver on a couple occasions. There have been a couple of parks where the extension has come in handy. Well made lives up to its expectations. A must have.
This does all that I hoped for. It’s a solid connection to the 5th wheel. It doesn’t torque the connection with the weight of the cord sticking straight out,
I bought it to provide strain relief for my RV power cord. It works well, except the locking ring can be frustrating (sticky and/or cross threading).

As full timers we got the power grip because we had noticed that the heavy 50 AMP power cord was putting extra wear on the power inlet on the trailer. The solution was this power grip adapter! It is as easy to use the our current cord, and with the 90 degree offset the extra strain on the power input was gone. I would buy again, and recommend it for anyone that is look to keep the power cord and trailer in the best shape for continuing use, with the least amount of work.
WORKS GOOD ON THE POWER CORD
Works just as it should. Now I can use my 30 amp extension cord with my 5th wheel when I am at a campsite or storage that does not have 50 amp connections. The adapter arrived just a promised and the customer service was outstanding. I will order from etrailer again.
