2012 Honda Pilot 2wd Tongue Weight and Compatibility with Curt C18152 Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier
Published 01/25/2018 >
Question:
Can the 2012 Honda Pilot 2wd handle a hitch mounted cargo carrier like the Curt C18152? If so what is the max weight it can handle? I found a video on your sight with this hitch on a 2012 Honda Pilot but I do not know if it was a 2wd or 4wd.

The 2012 Honda Pilots have a towing capacity of 2,000 to 4,500 lbs. According to your owner's manual the tongue weight capacity can be up to 15% of the total towing capacity. It also states the maximum allowable weight of the vehicle, all occupants, all accessories, all cargo, and the tongue weight of your trailer when loaded for travel is 5,952 lbs for 2WD models.
You should have no problem with the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18152 with up to it's full capacity of 500 lbs based on that information and depending on the cargo, occupants, and accessories.
