Expert Reply:
The Camco Insulator # CAM45192 is designed to block out heat and sunlight. If your trailer has air conditioning and heat insulating the vent openings will help keep the inside cooler or warmer depending on the season. Since the cover has a reflective surface it could subject the vent lid to more UV rays though you could just flip it over so the reflective surface is facing down. Otherwise it will not damage anything.
