How Long are the High Pointe Built-In Convection Microwave HP56ZR, HP36ZR Behind the Trim Installed?

Updated 04/22/2026 | Published 04/17/2026

Question:

I have a question on the High Pointe convection microwave oven models HP36ZR and HP56ZR one is black and the other is SS. I am assuming these 2 units are the same size. When the trim piece is installed on the microwave, what is the distance in inches from the very back of the microwave to the back side of the trim piece where the trim piece would fit up against the cabinetry? Thanks.

Hey Dan, thanks for the picture. You are correct the High Pointe Built-In Convection Microwave with Air Fryer item # HP56ZR in black and item # HP36ZR in stainless do have the exact same 20-1/2" wide x 12-7/8" tall x 20" deep dimensions.

When the trim piece is installed there will be 19-1/2" behind the High Pointe item # HP56ZR in black and item # HP36ZR in stainless.

What kind of trailer or motorhome do you have?

I have a smaller 5th wheel camper (2016 27' Starcraft AR-One Maxx 24RKS) that came with a small microwave installed from the factory. I want to go with a larger unit that also has convection and air frier features. I have a question on the Furion convection microwave air frier oven models FR73TF / FR63TF. One is black and the other is SS. I am assuming these 2 units are the same size. When the trim piece is installed on the microwave, what is the distance in inches from the very back of the microwave to the back side of the trim piece where the trim piece would fit up against the cabinetry? I know I will have to remodel the cabinet that the microwave will go in. My limiting factor is the depth of a new unit. Thanks so much, where else but eTrialer could I get this kind of service when I have a question that requires some effort on the vendors part?
