Brake controllers are not vehicle or motorhome specific. They are universal and can be used on a variety of applications even motorcycles. For a brake controller that will work well for you, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 is one of our most popular and well reviewed brake controllers. It has built-in safeguards to protect the vehicle and an easy to use/read LCD display. I have attached a review video of this controller for you as well.
Since your 2016 Jayco Precept Motorhome was built on a Ford F-53 chassis, you can use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3035-P which will allow you to plug the brake controller into your RV without having to cut or splice any wires. You will however need to wire the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185 to your RV to make the rest of the connections needed for a brake controller.
