Question:

Hi - Do you know the distance from the vehicle to the absolute end of the rack in an up position for the.. Kuat NV Base tray rack I own a Nissan Armada and concerned about the tray rack sticking out to far and not allowing me to fit in my garage when the bike rack is not in use i.e. closed or up position

I can help find the distance from your Nissan Armada to the farthest end of the bike racks you referenced though as of January 2018 we have not had a chance to test these racks with an Armada. To find out if either rack will work for you, just measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your Armada to your garage door so you know the amount of room you have to work with.

The Kuat NV # NV22G, when it is folded up, the farthest part of the NV is 18-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole.

So as long as you have just over a foot and a half of space you would would be able to use either the FullTilt or NV bike racks and leave them on your car when parked in the garage. I've added links to video reviews of these racks for you to take a look at.
