SeaSucker Vacuum Cup Strength Rating and Compatibility
Question:
Im interested in the Seasucker board rack I have a 2014 VW Beetle and no one seems to make a roof rack for it. I have seen 2 suction type roof racks on the market that I am interested in. One is the Seasucker that you sell and the other is VacuRack. I cant find too much information on VacuRack. Any information / opinion you can share with me would be helpful. Thanks.

I don't have any information on the VacuRack, but the Seasucker is a great product. The SeaSucker Surfboard Carrier - Vacuum Cup Mounted - 1 Surfboard or Paddleboard # 298-BX1806 will fit on your 2014 VW Beetle and has 6 vacuum cups. Each cup on any of their carriers is rated for 210 lbs and has been tested for speeds up to 140 mph. This particular product weighs just 12 lbs and will absolutely hold your board safely to your vehicle.
For added security you can add the SeaSucker Cable Anchor for Cable Lock - Trunk Mounted # 298-BA0020 or window mounted # 298-BA0010 along with a cable lock like # e98891. You may also be interested in the Thule Multipurpose Locking Straps with Rubber Housings # TH832 to secure your board.
