Had something similar that was destroyed by the sun after not that long, will this do the same?

The RhinoFLEX RV Sewer Hose "Y" Fitting # CAM39812 referenced in your question actually features UV-stabilized resin for just this very reason. This will allow the fitting to stand up well to the sun's harsh rays, leading to a nice, long life.
