The B and W Tow and Stow part # BWTS10050B can do up to 9 inches of drop so in that regard it would work well since you need up to 8 inches. But if you have a spring bar type weight distribution system this can't be used with it. It really can only be used as a standalone ball mount setup.
If you are looking for a weight distribution shank that works with a Reese system and can do up to 9 inches of drop we have the Equalizer Shank part # EQ90-02-4400 which will work well.
